Playing with dad in the snow

The finished product...our snow-packers-man!
Ben is more interested in eating the snow than the snowman.
Uh oh...the snowman fell down. After this, Ben knocked the snowman down about 77 times.
Ben checking out the snow....
and then tasting the snow.
Back to building the snowman.

Ben didn't help much with the building of the snowman. I'm afraid he's ruined his appetite for dinner!

Here's the beginning stages of the snow-packer-man.

Ben trying to do some rolling...it was a little heavy for him.

One more taste before time for hot chocolate.
My red cheeked boy.
Ben liked the snow falling on his face.

Playing Tiger Woods

Ben and I watched the Buick Golf Tournament Sunday afternoon so Ben got aquainted with Tiger Woods. Yesterday he kept saying "Tiger boy" and I finally realized he meant Tiger Woods. So now our new game is to play Tiger Woods. I will roll the ball to him and he'll hit the ball back to me. Here Ben is awaiting my roll. As you can also see, he has to have his Cardinal hat on and he pulls it down so he can barely see.
Here Ben hit the ball perfectly.
Getting ready to hit the ball.
This one he hit straight back to me.
Watching his perfect chip shot.
Oops...this one went by. He will say with a smile on his face, "almost."
He got this one.
Another one went by.
This one was shanked off the wall.
Birdie putt.
I missed this hit...he was too fast for the camera.
He watched this one go by, went up to it and smacked straight back to me with a few bounces.
A good shot of Ben and his funny hat.
Good hit.
Nice form.
This one he hit about 12 times before the ball got back to me.
A swing and a miss.

I'm sorry this is sideways. Here's a bit of our day together.

Ben being Ben

Here's Ben playing in the tub. He loves bath time and will stay in until the water is frigid and he's all pruny. My Aunt Donna gave Ben a Veggie Tales Pirates bath toy that that you see. He LOVES it :-)
Our new couch has plenty of room to stash toys underneath. Ben likes to purposely put toys under the couch only to try and retrieve them again.
Jake and I were in the kitchen. I peeked in the living room to see what Ben was up to. He had taken off his pants and was pretending to be "Mr. Mato Mato" himself. His little chubby legs are too cute.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from the Stratman fam.
Our good college friend, Darin Lee, came down from KC to bring in the new year with us. Ben quickly attached himself to Darin and demanded that Darin play trains and catch. We all had fun.
Ben bringing in the new year in style with his new "fuzzy shoes" thanks to Grandma Jo. He looks so trendy with his winter crocs.
It's getting late but Ben still looks good. He didn't quite make it to midnight (none of us did).
