New pics of Ben

Ben had a play date with Eleri and Elliott Jones yesterday. Eleri let Ben take home a super soft stuffed animal monkey who Ben refers to as "mongey." Needless to say, Ben really likes the mongey! He just had to nap not only with his new friend, but ON his new friend.

Jake took Ben on a long walk to the park this Saturday am. When they returned, Ben came back with a surprise haircut! Everytime we get his hair cut, I think it makes Ben look so much older. As Ben his nearing his 22 month birthday, it's amazing to think that this time last year, he was only crawling and babbling and still had all that yummy baby fat. The next picture takes you back to September 2006 with his fuzzy hair and fuller cheeks.

Ben has been learning his alphabet. Unfortunately, the camera will only let me record for so long and that is the reason for my title. I will try to get the full alphabet recoreded soon.

Let's Count to 10

Here's Ben saying his numbers from 1-10. Now you can get a glimpse of the daily orneryness of Benners! I seriously laugh all day long---except for the 1,000 times a day I say, "Get down, please," only to hear Ben repeat, "Get down, peas," which, in turn, makes me laugh.

Happy Birthday Aunt Kris

Aunt Kris has a birthday tomorrow so Ben wanted to make a video for her. For some reason the video is sideways and I don't know how to correct it so you'll have to turn sideways to watch it.

Socks and sandals rock!

Although Ben doesn't look convinced, socks and sandals are totally in. For some reason he wanted socks and sandals so he got socks and sandals. Choose your battles, right Deb?

Reading with Gramp

For some reason Ben doesn't put an "s" at the end of Gramps so now Gramps has a new name, Gramp. My parents, Andrea, Mema, and Granny and Gramps came down on the 15th to celebrate Jake's birthday. It's good when the family visits because now our yard looks great, our belly's are full and we have leftovers for two weeks. Here Gramp and Ben are looking at Ben's favorite scrapbook---one that only has pictures of himself :-)

Wa-wa!

Ben had so much fun playing with the water. We played about 30 minutes and then decided that the driveway had been properly watered. He really liked taking drinks and putting his thumb in the hose so that the water would spray.

Andie came down over Labor Day weekend to get a Ben fix. Her first few weeks of teaching first grade have started off great!

Down Time?

It's about 7:40 and we're supposed to have the lights dimmed, perhaps some soft music, and some time to read a few books before bed at 8:00. Instead Ben is on his back and wiggle worming around like a bug. SIGH
Oh, and he's not using his inside voice AT ALL.
